So, You've got your chromebooks set up, you've rolled out google classroom with your students, but now you feel faced with the daunting prospect of re-creating all of your work in Word to Google Doc format so that you can use these great tools.
Don't do it!
Google has a setting that when checked, will convert Word to google doc for you - and the conversion is vastly improved from what it was even a year ago. Images and tables - formerly lost in the conversion - actually come across predictably and in many instances, need no clean-up at all.
It's an awesome tool. I just posted a video about it - you can see it here: Convert Your Word Docs
Maybe the coolest thing of all? If you have a folder full of Word documents, you can upload the entire folder by selecting "Upload Folder" instead of "Upload File," and all the Word docs get converted at once. Fantastic time-saver. Which means it's also a great sanity-saver :)
